Nikki Hill

Ms. Hill holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Clarinet Performance from Southern Wesleyan University where she studied with Ray Spires. She is currently pursuing a Master of Music degree in Clarinet Performance from the Hugh Hodgson School of Music at The University of Georgia, studying with D. Ray McClellan. She has also studied with world renown clarinetists such as Nathan Williams (University of Texas-Austin), Robert DiLutis (Louisiana State University), and Walter Seyfarth (Berlin Philharmonic). Her experience includes performances with the Carolina Youth Symphony and the SC All-State Bands, acting as Principal Clarinetist for each group, and was a participant of the GAMAC ‘Celebration of Youth’ for four consecutive years. She was also a participant of the South Carolina Collegiate Honor Band Clinic and the Southern Wesleyan University Wind Ensemble for four years.
Currently, Ms. Hill plays Clarinet with the Southern Woodwind Quintet, a graduate quintet at the Hugh Hodgson School of Music, and also acts as Principal Clarinetist of the UGA Wind Ensemble. She has also performed with the UGA Symphony Orchestra, the university’s premiere ensemble. In the fall, Ms. Hill is the Clarinet Instructor of the nationally recognized Red Coat Marching Band at the University of Georgia. She also plays chamber music alongside her twin sister, who plays the flute.
